The first video of Amalur MMO from 38 Studios

Despite experiencing some financial turbulence, The Kingdoms of Amalur MMO is still on track from 38 Studios. The company which made headlines earlier this week for an emergency meeting with Rhode Island state officials regarding its financial condition, has released the first fly-through video for the MMO titled "Project Copernicus".

Just a couple days ago, the governor of Rhode Island told his constituents that the massively multiplayer offering was on-track for a June 2013 release date. At the same time, he likely made history as the first governor to deliver breaking video game news.

38 Studios was spearheaded by ex-Boston Red Sox pitching star, Curt Schilling. A die-hard World of Warcraft fan, Schilling formed the company and surrounded himself with some of the most talented designers, artists, and musicians in the video game world. PlayStation 3 Exclusive: The Last of Us Truck Ambush Trailer

Joel and Ellie won't have an easy road ahead of them. Their path across the US will intersect with other survivors, some of whom won't be friendly. In this scene set to the somber chords of Hank Williams, Sr., Joel and Ellie continue their journey west in a battered pickup truck. As they drive towards the next destination on their route, and hopefully a place to find critical resources, the pair encounters a group of hunters. What happens next is something you have to witness to understand.

The Last of Us is genre-defining experience blending survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. Cities are abandoned and being reclaimed by nature. Remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can find. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a young teenage girl who's braver and wiser beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.

Developed by Naughty Dog, The Last of Us is being made exclusively for the PS3 system.

The first story driven expansion content for Batman: Arkham City is set to arrive later this month, with Harley Quinn's Revenge. The expansion will be included in the Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition due out on May 29th, and in downloadable form as well.

The first teaser trailer for the game has been released, as well as a handful of new images from the upcoming content. Harley Quinn's Revenge will see an Arkham City that has been taken over by The Joker's main squeeze, and she's looking to avenge his death.

This will mark the first playable stint for Robin, outside of the Arkham City challenge maps, where he debuted as DLC last year.

Recently, Beyond Good & Evil 2 had been revealed to be in 'active development,' but is waiting for the release of next generation consoles as it is a "very ambitious game." Even more recently, an environment tech video of the game has leaked onto Youtube thanks to Unseen 64.

If you're thinking, "wow, this looks good, but not next-gen good," you may need to take into account the fact that this is a 2009 demo running on Xbox 360 and Ps3 hardware. If you want to see something a little more interesting, a teaser showing off a little gameplay hit the net just last year after appearing in a presentation organized by Michel Ancel.

It shows main protagonist, Jade, engaging in some sweet parkour action reminiscent of Assassin's Creed. In fact, this same "in engine" tech demo appeared in the same presentation held last November.

So I guess the "high quality, non-shaky cam" version has 'leaked' on to the internet. The video bears an identical resemblance to an official in-engine screenshot released earlier this week, so its authenticity seems pretty legitimate.

Fans unlock first Assassins Creed III gameplay trailer

For every one of you who disregarded the degradation that comes along with being a digital billboard for a game developing giant, the rest of us say, "thank you." Because of you and your "Likes" of the Assassin's Creed III Facebook page (Ubisoft employed a marketing campaign in which the game needed 1,776,000 Facebook likes/Tweets in order to release the new trailer), Ubisoft has decided to go ahead and release the world premiere Assassin's Creed III gameplay trailer, and boy does it look pretty.

The trailer gives fans their first real look at the series' new protagonist, Connor Ratohnhaké:ton. The Native American Assassin has been fairly enigmatic to this point. Why does he feel compelled to involve himself in the American Revolution? What are his ties to the Assassins? Though we won't be given complete answers until the game is finally released this Fall, the new gameplay trailer will definitely do well to whet the appetites of franchise fans.

We see Ratohnhaké:ton and the new movement system in action as he leaps from tree to tree, stalking his target and even setting traps for large groups of enemies. Case in point: trees will be one of your best assets in staying hidden and gaining a vantage point. The trailer also shows off the massive scale that defined the landscapes of Revolutionary War battlefields. Smoke from musket fire and bodies scattered across a field of snow colored red by the brutality highlight the viciousness with which this war was fought. It's definitely worth noting that through Ratohnhaké:ton's dialogue, we learn that our new protagonist has no allegiance to either side. So, aside from getting your fill of killing oppressive, empire-minded Redcoats, you'll also have to slay a few rebellious colonists as well.

Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2 Announced

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2 is due out later this month, and it includes a brand new multiplayer mode called Face-Off. Designed for one-on-one and two-on-two combat, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, and Raven have designed four custom maps for the smaller player count.

On May 15th the first two maps will be made available for all Xbox 360 players and will include Aground and Erosion. Aground is set on a shipwreck off the coast of Scotland, in Erosion you'll traverse Italy's Roman ruins. The maps have been tailor made for the smaller player count, and will thrust you into the thick of things with very little time spent looking for your enemies.

Alongside the new Face Off game mode, Content Collection #2 will also feature three standard multiplayer maps and two new Spec Ops missions. Sanctuary and Foundation have already been released for Elite subscribers, and are included in the content collection. Oasis is the third map, and it is set in beach resort in the UAE.

Mojang serves up a taste of what to expect when Minecraft finally arrives on the Xbox 360 on May 9th. The 360 version definitely has its advantages, as you can see from the trailer. Two and four player split-screen could make Minecraft a popular couch favorite, but better yet, you can play with up to eight friends on Xbox Live.

Rockstar is bringing Max Payne 3 into the multiplayer era in a big way on May 15th. The latest gameplay reveal for the upcoming shooter details some of the features in the new modes. From forming crews, to killstreak bonuses, there appears to be plenty to look forward to in Rockstar's latest multiplayer offering.

Max Payne 3 Multiplayer incorporates the gritty storytelling and intense gunplay the Max Payne games are famous for into an epic online experience. Sony reveals new PS3 exclusive, Unfinished Swan

Sony Santa Monica's next PS3 exclusive has been revealed as Unfinished Swan. It's a first person game where you shoot blobs of black paint in otherwise complete white space, to make it visible. The game will utilize the PlayStation Move to do the paint lobbing, in what is essentially a "first-person painter".

You'll play as Monroe, a boy who's chasing after a swan. After the swan steps out of a painting, it wanders off into a surreal and unfinished world. The game is coming to PSN from a newly formed studio called Giant Sparrow.

“For those of you familiar with Sony’s relationship with thatgamecompany, it’s the same kind of thing. Sony calls it an ‘incubation deal,’” Ian Dallas of Giant Sparrow told the PlayStation Blog. “In addition to giving us funding they also provide office space, equipment and advice (often in the form of this cheerful graphics programmer from the God of War team). The best part is that we get to focus all of our energies on just making a game.”

You can expect more details about this indie title at E3 2012. Until then, here's the first footage from the upcoming title.

You wanted changes to the Call of Duty franchise you say? Sick and tired of the same old Killstreaks? It looks like Treyarch has heard your demands, and Black Ops 2 reveals itself to be like no other Call of Duty title to date.

After starting out as World War II affair, shifting into the modern era, and hitting some stopping points in-between, Black Ops 2 will see a futuristic setting when it arrives in November of this year. In the trailer above you'll find that there are changes afoot in Black Ops 2, and they range from walking tanks, quadrotor copters, futuristic military attire, and more.

SuperBot takes the wraps off of PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale

Following its reveal earlier this week, the cat is out of the bag for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, confirming long running rumors that Sony would be making their own version of "Smash Bros". The PlayStation themed brawler will feature characters from the roster of characters in the PlayStation family, as well as third party guests.

Right now Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, Parappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper, and Colonel Radec have been confirmed for the roster, with more to come in the months leading up to launch. Recognizable environments from games like LittleBigPlanet, God of War, and Ratchet and Clank can be seen in the first gameplay videos of PlayStation All-Stars.

Listen up God of War fans, later today Sony Santa Monica is going to reveal more information about God of War: Ascension. The long rumored sequel to God of War III, will most likely end up being a prequel of some sort, from what we gathered from the announcement trailer.

The live stream for God of War: Ascension starts at 8:00 a.m. PST, at which time Sony is said to be revealing your first glimpse at the game, and answering fan questions during the show.

One thing that Light Box's last title for the PlayStation 3 didn't have was a story to supplement the multiplayer combat of Warhawk. This time around, they're taking a different approach with the game, setting up a full-fledged story of Rift energy and warring factions in Starhawk.

You'll also notice from the trailer that the guy from Bastion has made his way into the game, as the voice of Emmett Graves. Emmett Graves is a rift salvager, a hired gun who has a reputation for eliminating threats and saving claims. There has been no job too tough for him and his crew to tackle, but when a new contract sends him back to his old hometown of White Sands, Emmett is all that stands between it's salvation and a War Band lead by an infamous Outlaw .

Starhawk is due out exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on May 8th from LightBox Interactive and Sony Santa Monica.

Max Payne's pistol is the 1911 semi-automatic, that features machine gun-like rates of fire. Couple that with dual-wielding, the ability to slow time, and the cat-like reflexes of Max, and you'll be playing as a walking death machine come this May.

Rockstar has recently posted a new video detailing the new weaponary, some new screenshots of the game, and if you head over to Rockstar, you can catch some neat 3D renders of the weapons.

Max Payne 3 is due out on Xbox 360 and PS3 in May with the PC version of the title heading out shortly thereafter.

Dishonored has got a few things going for it when it releases later this year. Number one, Arkane Studios has been relatively quiet about its development, despite having some of the industry's brightest minds working on the title. The game's got all of the things that gamers swear up and down that they want from a video game. It's a brand new IP, set in a unique locale, with diverse range of art and from the looks of it, gameplay as well. But lastly, it has hookers. I've never seen a game go wrong that incorporates hookery in some form or another.

Just look at GTA IV, hookers, I rest my case. The latest batch of screenshots from Dishonored has been released, and while you might get distracted by the Half-Life-esque Tall boys or the stealthy looking combat in the first person perspective, the real story here is hookers.

You can find the latest screenshots below, and we've included the latest trailer from Arkane as well, because it's pretty badass. If you haven't seen it, watch it below. Dishonored is slated to arrive on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, at some point in 2012.

DICE has released the a new gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3 Close Quarters on the Donya Fortress map. Donya Fortress will be one of the four maps included in the Close Quarters expansion. The digital expansion, like its name says, will be focused on a tighter knit combat experience for the shooter.

Featuring indoor environments with a focus on HD destruction, there's one word that best describes this new content...frantic.

Battlefield 3 Close Quarters is set to arrive this June on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 fans will see the content first on consoles.

Meet The Dinobots from Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

High Moon studios will return this August with another iteration of the Transformers franchise, ~~to coincide with the movie set to arrive this summer as well~~. One of the big changes to the game will be the inclusion of Dinobots, a group of Transformers whose can turn into mechanical dinosaurs.

A new group of screenshots are out, that shows off exactly what these new Dinobots do, and that's eat other Transformers...naturally.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is set to arrive on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this August.
