As was recently outed by the an Asian listing on the PlayStation Store, the Back to Karkand expansion pack will release in the first week of December. DICE has announced the official date as December 6th over on the Battlefield Blog. That official date is for PlayStation 3 players only. Everyone else will need to wait until the one week exclusivity period is over.
So by December 13th, Everyone should have access to the new/remastered content. The Back to Karkand expansion features four “fan favorite” maps from the Battlefield franchise, new weapons, and vehicles, and of course these old favorites will re-imagined to work within the confines of the Frostbite 2 Engine.
The content is available for those who pre-ordered the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 for free. For those that didn’t, you’ll need to pay up for the content ($15).
