Grand Theft Auto V

The Lastest Information about Grand Theft Auto V

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created. A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.

Grand Theft Auto V Release Date

Grand Theft Auto V does not currently have a release date.  Current speculation suggests that GTA V will arrive sometime in 2013, although some analysts and industry insiders believe there is a small chance that GTA V will arrive in 2012.

Grand Theft Auto V Setting

Most of what we know about Grand Theft Auto V comes from the first trailer for the game. It was released back in 2011, when Rockstar Games announced that they were working on the sequel. In Grand Theft Auto V players will head back to the city of Los Santos, San Andreas – Rockstar’s take on Los Angeles, California. With an estimated population of 3.8 million people, the city is most famous for being home to the movie industry. It is also known for its sandy beaches, insane highways and gang-related crime; the latter of which has earned it the unenviable title of “Gang Capital of the World”.

Los Santos featured previously in the series, in the 2004 installment Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It should be noted, however, that Los Santos in GTAV has been completely re-imagined and bears little resemblance to its previous incarnation.

Set in the present day, GTA5 focuses on the theme of money with the stark contrast between wealth and poverty being emphasized; between those living in exclusive Vinewood neighbourhoods, and those barely scraping by in the notorious Skid Row district just a few miles away.

Grand Theft Auto V Characters

In the GTA V trailer, attention is focused on two individuals: the middle-aged man overlooking the city and the Hispanic guy sporting the white vest. The middle-aged man narrates the trailer and is believed to be voiced by actor Ned Luke. He features in the trailer more than any other character and clearly has a prominent role in the game.

Mitch Hayes An annoying, wise cracking, highly successful FBI agent. In great shape. Does triathlons, drinks low cal beer, but still has a sense of humor.

Miguel Gonzalez A young Mexican American FBI agent, caught between a few mob bosses. Very clean cut.

Clyde  A Moronic, almost inbred and creepy white trash hillbilly. Very naive but in a creepy ‘it’s only incest sort of way’

Brother Adam A Welsh monk, cult leader, yoga teacher, very lithe, very into exploring your personal tension through gripping massage. Needs Welsh accent.

Mrs Avery A Neurotic soccer mom, home maker, anxious and addled on pain killers. Very angry at neighbor MRS Bell.

Mrs Bell  45 yrs old – Swinger, and mellow Californian divorcee. Ugly but comfortable with self.

Eddie  A Weed evangelist, guy who started smoking at 30, and is now a leading proponent of marijuana’s fantastic properties. White, awkward.

Ira Bernstein A publicist for an actress known as America’s newest sweetheart who just so happens to love animals, orphans, drugs and sex. He’s always trying to hide her latest indiscretion.

Kevin De Silva Albert’s fat, FPS playing gamer son. Smokes a lot of weed, has anxiety issues and a card for a bad back, very soft, very opinionated. Into making racist comments while playing online.

Harut Vartanyan An Armenian car dealer, moneylender, would be Fagin and would be bully. Heavily connected to the underworld, but irritates people so much no one likes him.

Nervous Jerry A paranoiac living in the sticks, near Simon, completely paranoid, and terrified of Simon.

Calvin North A clapped out FBI agent who now mostly works offering advice on TV shows – whose only claim to fame turns out to be entirely false – but a decent guy in other ways. Badly dressed. Divorced. Putting on weight.

Jerry Cole A disabled IT expert and criminal information vendor.

Rich Roberts English hardman actor, who acts tough but who wants to do serious work – the only problem is he can’t quite read the words.

Alex A white, loosie goosie hippy rich guy who has lost his money and is getting desperate but trying not to.

Scarlet An unshaven female spiritualist and hippy with a love of exploring the wilderness. Very into journeys.

Chad A pretty boy misogynist Beverly Hills party boy. Made money, but not as cool as he thinks he is.

Tae Wong A somewhat incompetent Chinese mobster, loves doing ecstasy, going to raves.

Taes Translator  A Chinese translator, terrified of his boss’s dad. Male, awkward. Needs to speak Chinese.
