Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Guide: How to Get Salvage

Recommended Videos

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has a ton of unlockables, which also means it has a few very important forms of currency. One of these is Salvage, a more controllable method of unlocking weapons and other items. But to use it effectively, you will need a whole lot of it. There aren’t a ton of ways to cheat the system, but we did want to lay out exactly how you get this important currency. Here’s our quick guide on how to get salvage in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

One side way to get salvage is to make sure you log into Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare every day. There is a daily bonus, which can be pretty random, but will often give you some salvage. Now, onto the more important ways.

There are two main ways for how to get salvage in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The first is to level up your Mission Team. These are chosen in multiplayer, and are displayed in the top right corner. You can switch between teams, leveling each one up by completing its objectives in the match.

Make sure you choose a team that fits your play style, and offers objectives that you might actually complete. If you mostly play as a sniper, then one that focuses on multi-kills might not work well for you (or maybe it will work very well, I’m a terrible sniper). Just try to get your Mission Team level going higher and higher, completing objectives as quickly as possible, and you should start raking in the salvage. However, there will be a long grind at the higher levels.

Otherwise you need to start messing with Supply Drops. These come in two varieties, standard and rare. The standard ones cost just 10 keys, while rares are 30 keys, or 200 COD Points (purchasable currency). Rare ones are obviously better, giving you more salvage in each drop, while also giving you more valuable items. You can see what kind of items and salavage you will get in our Rare Supply Drop opening video. If you’re low on keys though, you can focus on standard ones for now.

The great thing about supply drops is that duplicate items will automatically be converted into salvage. If it’s a very rare item, you will get a lot of salvage actually.

Once you have your salvage ready you can go in and specify which prototype weapons you want to unlock, with better versions costing more, the higher you go up the chain. Just head to the Quartermaster and the Armory to do this.

And that’s it for how to get salvage in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Hopefully this answered your questions, even if it didn’t offer a magic bullet for how to get a ton of salvage with little effort. Good luck, and have fun.
