Disney Infinity 3.0 Guide: How To Beat Sebulba In Podracing

Recommended Videos

Disney Infinity 3.0 is not really a hard game, although one section from the “Twilight of the Republic” play set that might give people trouble is the podracing section.

When you visit the planet of Tatooine, Anakin and the others find themselves doing a bet with Jabba the Hutt. They need to beat Sebulba in a pod race much like how it was during Episode 1.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is mostly easy, but this is the hardest part of the game by far. It took me many tries to beat Sebulba, but it is possible. There are many things you should know in order to come out in first place.

If you are playing co-op, only one player needs to come first and beat Sebulba in order to pass the level. One person can come first, while the second player can come third. Thankfully both players don’t need to beat Sebulba.

At the start of the pod race, you need to press the accelerator button many times to rev up and get a boost. This is the right trigger on Xbox consoles, or R2 on PlayStation consoles. Make sure to press this button many times consecutively for a head start.

If you have done that successfully, you should be toe-to-toe with Sebulba. Now you have to collect the yellow lightning bolts that are scattered throughout the level. Collecting these will enable you to be fast enough to beat Sebulba. If you don’t collect them, you will slow down and lose the race.

Another thing to keep note are to avoid obstacles in the way. The pod racer can jump and you can do this by pressing A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation). Tusken Raiders will also try and shoot at you after you exit the tunnel and just before you complete a lap. Just move around lots of times and they won’t get you.

The race is only three laps and is not very long, although you need a near perfect run to win this race. You are not allowed to crash once or twice or else Sebulba will be zooming pass you. You also have to make sure to collect all the lightning bolts you see. Missing too many will slow down your speed.

Don’t worry if you cannot do this all in one go. It took me many tries to finally beat him. It is helpful to play through the section many times so you know the course more and know exactly where all of the lightning bolts are located.
