Amiibo Hunting Guide For November 8 (Villager Exclusive Restock)

Recommended Videos

We are just about at the one year anniversary for the launch of the first amiibo alongside the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and it has been one heck of a year in that time. There have been plenty of ups and downs for collectors, with things getting much better as of late, but the latest release is a restock that is perhaps the most sought after of all.

The first wave of amiibo had what became known as the Trinity of rare figures, which was made up of Marth, Wii Fit Trainer and Villager. Over the last many months, both of these have gotten restocks at multiple retailers, with Marth especially popping up in the recent Best Buy stock. However, Villager was nowhere to be found in the US outside of the Nintendo World Store in New York City, even though he went up in Canada over the last few months and showed up.

That is finally changing as you will now have a very good chance at getting a Villager starting today, though there is a stipulation. There have been an abundance of retailer exclusives so far with amiibo, though Villager was not one of those, with exclusives not coming until later. However, Villager is now the first amiibo to be an exclusive on restocking when it wasn’t originally.

The new stock of Villager amiibo will be available at Toys R Us only starting today. It is unlikely that any of these will go up online, as they did for a short time already and they have not been doing that with their exclusives as of late. However, the great news is that it sounds like stock numbers are fantastic for this restock.

According to the Toys R Us Christmas catalog, stores will have a minimum of 64 Villager amiibo available. This hopefully will be more than enough to satisfy the collector’s in your area. Regardless, I still wouldn’t wait too long to pick him up, as he has been one of the most sought after of all that may be the final piece in the collection of currently released amiibo for some that they need.

The Villager amiibo will be available starting at opening today, Sunday, November 8 at Toys R Us in store. Most locations got Villager awhile back and he has just been register locked, so you shouldn’t have to worry about all of them being sold early. Also, remember that Toys R Us now has their Holiday hours going on, so stores will be opening this morning at 9 am instead of the usual 10 am.

Good luck getting Villager today and let us know if you have some success. I know I’ll be going to get mine, as he is the last one of the currently released Smash line that I need for my collection. We also have a big release weekend coming up next weekend for amiibo starting on Friday, so make sure to stay tuned for yet another amiibo Hunting Guide then.
