Assassin’s Creed 4 and Watch Dogs, two of Ubisoft’s biggest games of 2013 will arrive on the next-gen console from Microsoft. Although the company has yet to formally announce the two games due to restrictions likely put in place by Microsoft, developer resumes point to their release on the new hardware.
Over on LinkedIn, Video Gamer discovered that two Ubisoft developers have listed the two titles as “X720” launch titles. The two developers Paolo Maninetti and Phil Brolles both list the “X720” in the games they are working on. Brolles’ resume references that Watch Dogs is due to arrive on next gen consoles, more specifically listed as PS4/X720. While Maninetti’s states that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due to arrive on “X720”.
Microsoft has been playing their cards very close to the chest with the next Xbox, but this is far from the first news we’ve heard about the console which is rumored to be announced formally in May. Just this morning, rumors surfaced that out a next-gen Forza title and Crytek’s Ryse as two launch games for the new console. It would make a lot of sense for Ubisoft to release these big titles on Microsoft’s next-gen hardware.
