When is the Battlefield 4 release date? Numerous leaks and rumors have pointed to a late October date for the popular shooter, but EA has recently rebutted any and all information that has surfaced.
According to a statement from EA: “We were contacted today about the release date of Battlefield 4, which could be seen on one of the tabs in this page. That one was merely a placeholder date, which was published by a technical defect. We apologize for this error. The correct release date will be available on the official Battlefield site.”
This late October release date would follow the trend started by Battlefield 3, so many still assume that the game will release close to this date. It could just be that EA isn’t quite ready to unveil the official release date, so it won’t be a surprise if the game launches somewhere near this October 29 – 31 window.
Battlefield 4 has been confirmed to arrive on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. DICE recently revealed the first gameplay footage from the Battlefield 4 single player campaign.
