Larry Hyrb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, released the annual numbers for the online services most popular games of 2010.  Among the top contenders were the who’s who of games in 2010.  Bringing home the top spot was Call of Duty: Black Ops, followed by Halo: Reach and Red Dead Redemption.  The popularity numbers are based on the game’s first seven days of activity on the Xbox Live service and only include games released in 2010.
