Bloodborne Sells 1 Million, Upcoming Load Time Patch Also Fixes Easy Mode Glitch

Recommended Videos

Bloodborne has been a smash hit for PlayStation and From Software. Now the sales numbers have come in and reflect what we already knew, it sold very well. Plus, PlayStation divulged some new information on the upcoming 1.03 patch for Bloodborne.

Masaaki Yamagiwa, producer over Bloodborne from SCEJ studios took to the PlayStation Blog today to announce that Bloodborne has sold through over one-million copies worldwide. He also went on to address the load time improving patch that fans have been waiting for. It will not only improve load times, but also “resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play.” This issue has been wildly known to Bloodborne fans as ‘easy mode’ which was found earlier this month. They are hoping to have patch 1.03 out before the end of the month and have put a notice that the online may be down to prepare for the patch.

Please note: online play will need to be disabled for a short period of time to facilitate server-side updates. In this case, and in the case of any future server maintenance downtime, it has been determined that starting at 1am PT on a non-Friday weeknight will disrupt the fewest players. We will target this time for any necessary future server maintenance downtime, which will only last a couple hours in each instance.

Masaaki also released a few work arounds for fans to help get a better connection via opening up ports and the like.
