A further look at gameplay footage for Crackdown Xbox One will be revealed next month at Gamescom.
This was confirmed by Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, as he confirmed there will be gameplay shown at Gamescom on his official Twitter page.
Spencer said: “Final Gamescom content review was today and things are becoming final. Lot’s of nostalgia for me with the Crackdown gameplay.”
Crackdown is a franchise that Microsoft started to forget over the years. The first game in the series debuted for the Xbox 360 back in 2007 while the sequel came out in 2010. After that, the series was dormant.
Alas at E3 2014, Microsoft announced the revival of the series as a new game is being developed for the Xbox One. The new game is just being called “Crackdown” and not Crackdown 3. This seems to be a trend as we already have Need for Speed, Star Wars Battlefront, Tomb Raider and Mortal Kombat getting unoriginal names too…
It will be cool to see what the gameplay looks like for the new game. The power of the Xbox One console will make the game a lot prettier than the older games. Not to mention the city landscape is likely to be larger too.
