Premiering at Microsoft’s Gamescom 2015 Briefing, Dark Souls 3 now has its very first gameplay trailer. This is the first time that actual gameplay has been shown to the public, with E3 2015 featuring a CGI trailer combined with behind closed doors gameplay demos.
We got to attend one of these events, getting to check out over 30 minutes of gameplay along with a developer Q&A. You can check out our walkthrough, impressions, and an interview with Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Mike Chang to see what we thought and get more details.
The trailer released today shows off a ton of areas from the game, giving players an idea of what they’re in for with the brutally difficult and despressingly dark title. Dark Souls 3 features an all new campaign in the universe that gamers have come to love, and with series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki back at the helm.
Fans can expect the same tough, uncaring gameplay combined with a deep and mythos-filled world with Dark Souls 3. Bosses will tower over the player as they get pummeled into the dirt over and over again.
Dark Souls 3 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2016. Dark Souls 3 will be playable at Gamescom, so keep an eye out for hands-on previews.
