Dark Souls And Onimusha-Inspired Nioh Getting Demo This Month

Another game taking a page out of the Dark Souls playbook is on the horizon, with Team Ninja’s Nioh shooting for a release later this year. However, everyone interested will be able to get a taste of the action later this month via a demo.

The demo for the game is taken from the game’s alpha build, which will be available on April 26th before shutting down on May 5th. As an incentive to checking the demo out, Team Ninja has revealed that if you clear a level in the demo you will receive The Overlord DLC for free when the game launches.

The game follows a character named William, who is a blonde-haired Samurai living during the Warring States period of 16th-century Japan. The game was originally announced in 2004 before suffering several big delays and falling off the radar multiple times.

Nioh is set to launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 later this year. Check out the alpha demo announcement trailer below.
