Yesterday, we told you about the announcement of a new version of Dead or Alive 5, this time for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, known as Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. Seeming to be the true final release for Dead or Alive 5 based on the name, this was good news for those that were starting to get mad at the Street Fighter approach with numerous releases of the same game, with a few additions.
When the game was announced, it was revealed that it was coming to the aforementioned PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it appears that isn’t all. According to the official website for the game, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be also be making its way to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 when it releases sometime in 2015.
With this reveal, one of the big questions now is whether or not we will see any sort of discounts for those that own the previous versions on those two consoles, or if there will be any sort of upgrade program like we saw with the Street Fighter IV series that worked without requiring the download of the full new game. This would certainly soften the blow of another release within only a few years of the original on the last generation consoles while those on the now current-gen consoles are experiencing it for the first time.
