As promised, Bungie is bringing back much loved events suc has Trials Of Osiris and Iron Banner in the coming weeks. It all kicks off this weekend with Trials Of Osiris.
Trials Of Osiris will start tomorrow at 10 am PST. as announced on the official blog. Incase you forgot, you can purchase a Trial Passage coin from Brother Vance at The Reef, but you may even have some from doing quests over the past week or so. You can carry as many as you like and participate in the 3 v 3 elimination matches in the Crucible. If you lose three times though, you will require a new coin. The map is yet to be revealed.
Iron Banner will start Tuesday, October 4th at 10am PST and the game mode will be Supremacy. The following changes have been made to Iron Banner to increase rewards and encourage continued play throughout the week.
- The Tempered mechanic is gone – play when you want
- There are now 4 Weekly Bounties
- Bounty rewards include:
- An Iron Banner item not featured on the Vendor
- A chance at an Iron Banner Artifact or Vanity Item
- 25 Legendary Marks
- 750 Iron Banner Reputation
- Victory in a match grants 250 Reputation
- Iron Medallions grant 150 Reputation each, upon Victor
They even show off a few new pieces of Gear that will only be available during the Iron Banner such as armor, a shotgun and an auto rifle. It should be noted that both Trials Of Osiris and Iron Banner will be based on your light level and will not scale, there will be matchmaking, but only of similar skill. So be prepared and bring your best Guardian gear.
Update: Map has been revealed to be Last Exit. After 5 wins players garner a random armor. 7 wins garners a random weapon. If you earn a flawless victory (9 wins without any losses) you gain access to The Lighthouse on Mercury which contains a chest that can be opened for even more rewards.
