Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King originally released back in 2004 in Japan, which was followed by a release in the US in 2005. With the game coming to 3DS very soon, a new trailer has been revealed that gives you a glimpse at what you can expect from the game’s story.
Considered by many to be the best of the entire series, Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is following its predecessor by not only getting ported to the 3DS, but getting brought to the West as well. Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past released just a couple months ago and now the next game is coming on January 20 to North America and Europe.
The official Nintendo UK YouTube page has posted what is simply called the Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King – Story Trailer, which does exactly as it sounds. This trailer doesn’t get too spoilery, but gives the basis for the story.
The trailer also showcases the main characters in the game, along with a description of each such as Yangus being “The Bandit” and Jessica being “The Mage.” In addition, we get footage of more gameplay as well, which isn’t that big of a deal for those that have played the game before, but is great for those looking to play for the first time.
Make sure to check out the new trailer below for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King and look for the game to release in the West on January 20 for the Nintendo 3DS.
