Final Fantasy Type 0 and more coming from Square

by | @AttackFanboy | on January 17, 2011

Recently it was discovered that Square Enix filed a trademark for Final Fantasy Type – 0.  It has now been brought to light by SilconEra that there were three other filings related to the possible new franchise.  Type -1, Type -2, and Type -3 have also been filed making this look like a new franchise with possible sequels in the works.  Square filed a protective trademark for the three but didn’t register the domain names like they did for Final Fantasy Type – 0.

SilconEra points out that this may be because the company is unsure if the game will warrant sequels but wants to protect the names just in case.  The Square Enix Press Event is just around the corner and more details are likely to emerge about the new game from this meeting if any.
