Ghost Recon Future Soldier Delayed

Ubisoft annouced today on its conference call that the highly anticipated and long overdue Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be released in early 2011. Originally slated for a holiday release in 2010 Yves Guillemot thinks that this is a highly competitive environment to release the title in. He was also quoted as saying the additional time will allow developers to "realize their vision" for the latest installment in the popular franchise. Seeing as the delay in Splinter Cell Convicition proved to be a great move releasing the game with no competition might be something that developers should look a little more carefully at.

I’m starting to lose eagerness for this game. It looks like it’ll be compared to BF3. That kind of feel.
