If you remember playing Gran Turismo 5, you may recall that it took a long time for DLC to come out. Polyphony Digital is promising DLC will be released at a faster rate once Gran Turismo Sport comes out on PS4 later this year.
As reported by Famitsu, Polyphony Digital held a Q&A session with Japanese media after showcasing Gran Turismo Sport to them this week. The game’s producer, Kazunori Yamauchi, talked more about their DLC plans in the near future.
He said: “Of course we’re preparing for DLC and updates after launch, However I cannot provide specifics at this point. That said, we absolutely won’t keep you waiting one year like it happened with Gran Turismo 5. I believe they’ll come out steadily after a certain period from launch.”
Since Gran Turismo Sport is a spin-off, it’s expected the game will have quite a lot of DLC. The game at launch has 137 cars and 19 locations. The car list is sure to grow as well as the number of tracks.
Gran Turismo Sport releases exclusively for the PS4 console on November 15th, 2016 in North America and November 18th, 2016 in Europe.
