With just over a week to go ahead of release, Rockstar’s GTA V is set to put an exclamation mark on the end of a generation. Self proclaimed to be the biggest and best Grand Theft Auto game to date, Rockstar has no doubts that their latest will impress fans. But just how long will you need to set aside to see all there is to see in Los Santos?
According to an interview with Dan Houser in Guardian, the game is 100 hours long.
“We’ve got this big open-world experience that’s 100 hours long, and that gives players control over what they do, what they see, and how they see it. A world where you can do everything from rob a bank to take a yoga lesson to watch TV, all in your own time. How do you condense that into a two-hour or 12-hour experience where you take away the main things: player agency and freedom?”
I wonder if Houser was including the GTA Online Mode when coming to that figure, or he was just talking about the single player portion of the game? We’ll find out when GTA V releases on September 17th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
