A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed a Game of the Year edition is expected to arrive in October. This comes after information was given to IGN by a source within Microsoft.

The spokesperson has said that this new edition will include Spartan Ops season 1, a war games map pass, Halo 4 champions bundle and content that was previously exclusive to pre orders and limited editons only. The Microsoft spokesperson also said “We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday”.

This new edition of Halo 4 will run for about $49.99 USD and is expected to release in October.  If the game is due to release this October, Microsoft would do well to come out and announce it already.  $49.99 is sure to entice some holiday shoppers into picking up the game with all the bundled content.
