For those of you that wanted to have more story content in Halo 5: Guardians, you may be out of luck. 343 Industries is not planning to have any story related DLC.
We’re not going to spoil anything here, but let’s just say some people didn’t like the story in Halo 5: Guardians. It’s kind of like how Hideo Kojima treated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Red Bull interviewed Josh Holmes who is the creative director for the Halo franchise. He said: “While we’re always looking for new ways to expand the Halo universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for Halo 5: Guardians.”
The game has divided a few fans since Master Chief is more of a supporting character as Spartan Locke is the main character. Not to Spartan Locke has more missions in the campaign too.
It’s hard to explain the real reason some people want more story campaign without giving away too many spoilers. It looks like fans just have to wait for more story content until Halo 6 eventually comes out.
This is a sign that DLC for the game will only be focused for the online multiplayer. This will be new maps, and possibly modes as well.
