Today’s Microsoft conference at Gamescom 2015 in Germany, had a large set of announcements that surprised fans. While Homefront: the Revolution has been surrounded by some controversy and development problems, today it was announced that the game is planned for a 2016 release window with Xbox One fans getting the first taste of its brand new Co-op demo.
This demo will become available this winter, while the main title is planned to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Along with news of the Co-op demo, a new gameplay trailer was shown at the conference, featuring exciting guerrilla-style warfare against the North Korean occupiers.
The first Homefront was a major disappointment in my eyes, but when I first saw the presentation of Homefront: the Revolution back at E3 2014, the demo impressed me. I was worried after hearing of the financial problems at Crytek, but thankfully Deep Silver picked up the title. If the new demo is anything to go by I expect teamwork to be a major factor in taking down the Korean forces and can’t wait to get my hands on the game.
