We got our first official look at gameplay from Mass Effect: Andromeda during the recent PlayStation Meeting, showing the game running at 4K on the PS4 Pro. While the game is definitely going to perform better thanks to the added power of the Pro compared to the standard PS4 console, it looks like the frame-rate will be the same on both platforms.
This was revealed when many were wondering whether or not the added power of the PS4 Pro would result in a higher frame-rate for Mass Effect: Andromeda on the console, though EA has confirmed that the game will run at 30 frames-per-second on both of the platforms. A little disappointing, but the game is still going to look better, regardless.
However, they did leave a little hope in the air by saying that the footage shown was still pre-alpha, so if things go really well down the road then there still could end up being an fps boost.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2017. More details on the game are expected to be coming from BioWare this November.
