Mortal Kombat will hit the PlayStation Vita on May 1st, according to a recent announcement by Nether Realm Studios and Warner Brothers Interactive.  The recently revealed fighter will arrive with a whole new way to get your fills of martial arts and brutal finishing moves on the handheld.

The game has been modified for the PlayStation Vita, utilizing the system’s motion and touchscreen technology for an all new way to play Mortal Kombat.   A recent trailer for the fighter was revealed just a short while ago, and in case you missed it, you can find it below.

Mortal Kombat’s console release won best fighter at last year’s video game awards.  Look for it on May 1st.
