NBA 2K15 released a little over a month ago, but the NBA season itself is very fresh by only starting about a week ago. In that time, both players and teams have surprised by doing better or worse than expected. However, the biggest surprise is easily the now 1-3 Cleveland Cavaliers, which has led to some reductions in the overall rating for star Lebron James in the game’s update this week.
While still the highest rated player in the game, James does fall a point to a 97 overall from the previous rating of 98 overall. The reason for the overall fall is a drop in three statistical areas: Ball Control -3, Pass IQ -4, and Pass Accuracy -4. With the terrible start for the previous NBA favorites, Lebron James has impressed by scoring 36 in a win against the Bulls, but greatly disappointed with onl 11 points in a blowout loss to the Trailblazers.
In addition, James has received an accessory update with compression pants. Perhaps a drop like this will put a spark in him, though doubtful he cares all that much. Either way, it is likely he’ll step it up and return to his 98 overall rating before long.
The full list of changes in the new weekly update came courtesy of 2K Sports’ Mike Stauffer, who posted the full rundown himself on Operation Sports.
