The Nielsen Group recently conducted a study that shows some very interesting statistics regarding the popularity of Netflix on home video game consoles.  Of the millions that subscribe to the monthly services that Netflix offers, fifty percent of those users utilize the service on a video game console, such as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo Wii.  The service which offers streaming video to subscribers is apparently becoming extremely popular with the console crowd.

The study surveyed 12,000 online interviews where two competing brands, Netflix and Hulu were compared side by side.  PC use of the Hulu service proved to be the dominant brand on PC, while Netflix use is definitely on the rise at home.  Tides could change for Hulu however.  The company who recently launched a new initiative on the Xbox Live service, now allows subscribers to access Hulu content on the Xbox 360.
