Valve has finally given Left 4 Dead 2 Steam Workshop Support, making it easier to discover new mods and community generated content for the zombie survival game. Â Left 4 Dead 2 is one of the more popular titles on Valve’s digital download service, but the mods for the fan-favorite aren’t exactly new. Â Communities have been making maps, skins, and tweaks to the game for years.
However, with the Steam Workshop support, this process of adding new items to your game is a much more simple and streamlined process. Â You can browse the workshop via Steam, or in-game, and downloading and installing packs is a relatively painless process.
The community has taken to the new tools quickly.  The Left 4 Dead Workshop already has around five hundred pieces of content that can change the game in numerous ways.  Our personal favorite was one user mod that gives the game better skyboxes, but there are a ton of other tweaks, mutations, weapons, skins, and maps to try.
With so much community support behind Left 4 Dead 2, and the new workshop support, this is one zombie apocalypse that may never end.
