PlayStation Australia has teased there will be some type of announcement regarding The Last of Us Remastered sometime next week.
PlayStation Australia wrote on Facebook: “20 days to go, but next week you’ll find out what we’ve got planned.”
It’s hard to pinpoint on what else can be shared about The Last of Us Remastered. It’s a re-release after all so there isn’t much more that can be announced regarding the game’s core features. I don’t think there will be any new gameplay added to the game as only the previously released DLC will be a part of The Last of Us Remastered. It’s possible the announcement could be Australian specific like a chance to play the game at an event early or something.
In related news, Sony Europe’s John Walker said during an interview with MCV that pre-orders for The Last of Us Remastered are “looking strong”. There is a good chance the game could sell very well since only 50% of PS4 owners have owned a PS3. That’s quite a large amount of people that have never played the original game before. They will be experiencing how great the game is for the very first time on PS4.
The Last of Us Remastered releases July 29th.
