PS3 Users to get Modern Warfare 3 Elite Content on Feb 28th

Activision has come clean on the exact timing for the PS3 release of the Modern Warfare 3 Elite DLC. PlayStation users can expect to recieve the update on February 28th, about one month after Premium Call of Duty: Elite players on the Xbox 360. Apparently Microsoft is giving Activision little room to manuever Elite content to PlayStation gamers with their exclusivity agreement lasting through 2012.

There had been some confusion as to the timing of when Premium members of Elite on the PS3 would get the new content for the shooter. Some had thought that being a premium subscriber on the PS3 would allow for them to get the content at the same time as Xbox 360 players, but as you can see, this is not the case.

Dan Amrich of Activision recently explained the agreement between Microsoft and Activision in a blog post a One of Swords. When the content does arrive on the PlayStation 3, the first "content drop" will include two new multiplayer maps: Liberation and Piazza.

For most smart people they realize that paying once for online to microsoft and then paying again to call of duty for dlc is even bigger wallet rape.

  Its all wallet rape, a game that cost you almost 100 bones with a campaign thats only 4 hours long and its sole focus is online multiplayer is a rip off in its self. Then again if they give 40 bones worth of DLC it may be justifiable.

I enjoy very much the fact that Microsoft spends the extra money to get exclusives for Xbox 360. They might not make many games anymore, but first access to content is probably the best exclsuve that xbox has. Well that and an online network that actually works and isn’t a peice of crap.

Activision should have been clear with the release dates on all platforms. Its not fair that you pay £40 for a premium service yet you still have to wait a month. Activision should have released official dates or information rather then wiat til the PS3 COD community starts moaning.
And PSN is not terrible, you proberly have never even used it. For a free service PSN is excellent. Its not perfect but you can play your games online for free and most of our exclusives use dedicated servers.
So if your happy paying for LIVE then its your choice, you cant bash what you dont know, understand or havent used.
@ Randy, its expensive. £40 for LIVE, £40 for Elite, £40 for MW3.
=£120 just to play 1 game for a year.

I want a conclusion to the campaign mode just like in mw2 and mw1. I want the campaign to feature a two player mode somehow and of course extention to the storyline.
