Club Nintendo first debuted in the US in 2008 in its current form, providing a simple loyalty program for Nintendo fans. The program has had its ups and down, but it was revealed earlier this year that the program was ending and now it is officially closing time for Club Nintendo.
When it was revealed that Club Nintendo would be closing down, a number of deadlines were given, including a final day a few months ago where coins could be earned from registering codes.
For anybody that still has any coins leftover in your account, today is the absolute last day to redeem them for a large selection of digital games.
There have been zero physical rewards left as they had all sold out, but there have still be a large collection of digital games available, including Virtual Console, eShop games, and even full games.
There are lots of quality choices in here like Earthbound, Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and Kid Icarus: Uprising, so you can’t go wrong with a lot of the options here. As long as you redeem your coins for any of these today, you will receive an email with the code that can be used for the next month.
This is definitely a sad day, but there were definitely plenty of changes that hopefully will be made on the replacement that will come later this year.
