PSN Down Again, This Time For Maintenance

by | @AttackFanboy | on June 1, 2011

The PlayStation Network will be down again today, for a brief maintenance period that is scheduled to last “several hours”.  The PSN server maintenance is said to be the final piece in the puzzle which will finally bring the PlayStation Store back to operational status.  During the maintenance period, you won’t be able to sign into the PlayStation Network but Sony claims that if you don’t log off, you “should” be able to remain online to play games.

The return of the PlayStation Store is on target for a full return sometime this week, which when finalized will bring back all functionality to addled network.  Once back in operation, the PlayStation Store will once again allow you to purchase materials from the site, redeem codes, and utilize other vital services that the marketplace offers, as well as redeem those “Welcome Back” package content.
