PSN will be undergoing some routine, scheduled maintenance on Monday, March 23rd, 2015. The maintenance will begin at 12pm Eastern Time and last for an estimated two and a half hours, until 2:30pm. Not all functionality will be lost this time around though, so read on to see how you can keep playing your games.
PS4 users: If you’ve signed in to the network prior to maintenance, you will be able to log in during this time. Most games will be playable online, and access to partner apps such as Netflix should be available.
*Note – The PS4 must be activated as your Primary System in order to play online titles and services. Check here for instructions on setting your PS4 as your Primary System.
PS3 / PSVita users: As long as you have signed into the network prior to maintenance you will be able to log in and access most games online.
That “most games” is a bit worrying, but it seems like as long as you have signed in prior to the maintenance you should experience uninterrupted service. As usual, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and your Account Management page will not be accessible at all during this time.
These maintenance windows tend to be a bit unexpected, even with notices like this. Many go over the scheduled time period, while others have had issues occur shortly before the planned outage. If you experience any problems before or after the maintenance window be sure to check back here for updates in case anything has been changed.
