i played the old versions splinter cell and this is the most realistic and sensible splinter cell ever. Most addictive too. Its an action stealth but the enemies are far better than the old versions. Last known position is the exciting part. Stop whining, buy the game and try it, it can always be stealth.

Why are ppl bashing Conviction, it’s gfx is bad?! No way, man- it’s Unreal Engine we’re talking about. And story really, really egged me on till the finale. it’s waaay better than the previous Splinter Cell! looking forward to the next one.

Also DA had awesome Multiplayer that almost everyone loved…

do you think that defending a brand or a product makes you noble? It’s crazy …controled by an emotion , because of a f**kin’ product… that’s what they want actualy and you can call yourself proudly a FAN :) (I think being FANs these days is like an insult to objective thinking)

fast paced stealth-action with realism is like saying that fire and water will burn together…
Just consider what made the article “editor” make him say that and why were his conclusions like that… I mean, you think he can’t tell s**t about good games, just because you hate the fact that he “insulted” a product that you cherish …and that’s ridiculous.
People who are willing to insult others ,because they feel their product has been insulted is crazy.

And I understand why many fanboys or whoever , dont want BAD REVIEWS about an EXPENSIVE game : because they would feel pretty stupid that they payed a lot of money for a crap shooter (im talking in general, not you personaly since i dont know you)

i think you’ve become so addicted to the brand you can’t think objectively… it’s specialy humorous to see you talk about drugs, when in fact you’re “drugged” just by the notion that a new SC game will come out (at that time) soon.
Can’t you just think that it is possible this game will suck for people who liked the previous series ? If you can’t and you base your conclusions on faith for Ubisoft .. .then I feel sorry for you

How can you tell if you haven’t played the “full product” yet that it’s the BEST one YET ? Same can be said about the one who wrote the article, but since that was in the past and now is the future , I can safely say he was spot on.
But to each his own: I don’t like mindless shooting,because i don’t think it’s as much fun as it’s a tactical entry, stealthy movement, thinking over abt your decisions. I Like to plan things so I am biased agains a certain type of games.
Bottom line, I’m not perfect either ;)

hey conviction was the best i played i like it very much and hope the next splinter cell game is just as good i like the way it is now but don’t get me wrong i also liked the old splinter cell games but its about time for a change the way it is now its the way it should stay. but if they wanted they would remake the old splinter cell games have them all up to date wouldn’t be so bad but conviction ill say it again i like it very much its awesome i wouldn’t want it to go back to the old sneaking around if u follow the story Sam is done with that there’s no reason for him to go back doing that.

Just shelled out 800 MS points on the new pack bacause it said “The critically acclaimed multiplayer mode is back” which it ALSO says for Double Agent so i believed it was the Spies vs Mercs mode! I couldnt of being more wrong

first of all, these 5 reasons SUCK!

5# so what if it’s a stealth/action game?? i think it’s better than any splinter cell before
4# if you can’t adjust to the controls, than you don’t deserve to play any game
3# you still have the sticky camera that produces sound so you can lure your enemies and blast them to hell
2# don’t want to comment because i don’t play multiplayer :)
1# to whoever wrote this – YOU SUCK!!!! graphics are amazing, and if you have a s**tty computer that can’t run this game on everythin high, then you shouldn’t say that the graphics are mediocre…. fallout 3 is mediocre graphics…

First and foremost, I just want to say that the game is going to

be awesome. That said, it's definitely not Splinter Cell as I know and love It.

I'll wait for a verdict on the campaign length before I make my decision to purchase or rent.
