I would often be in so-called 'shadow' and be completely visible, yet the enemy couldn't 'see' me. The first three games made shadows far too dark. The shadows and lighting seem to be well-blended and realistic in Conviction. Also, the video is reassuring, because it still shares so many of the elements in the original games: the sticky cams with noise distraction, the emf vision, crawling on pipes... It appears the gameplay stays pretty true to what we're all used to, so if that's the case I won't be disappointed (unless the story really blows, of course).
