Capcom’s initial beta for Street Fighter 5 on the PlayStation 4 ran into technical problems before being suspended. It looks like Capcom is gonna try a test beta for Street Fighter V for North America later this week on Wednesday, August 25th.
Announced on the Unity Blog, Capcom says that their other recent tests in Europe and Asia have paved the way for tests in North And South America. The dates are August 25th 4pm – midnight PT and August 26th 4pm – midnight PT.
Hopefully these tests go well. If they do, Capcom is ready to get back to their original plan of offering a five-day global beta test. No dates have been given for that extended beta, Capcom says that once the North and South America tests are complete they will announce an official date.
If you’re gonna hop on for these smaller Street Fighter V beta tests, Capcom advises that testers use wired internet connections and avoid downloading files in the background to conserve bandwidth.
