First wave of ID@Xbox games coming “soon”

Announced last year, ID@Xbox is Microsoft’s support system for indie developers, giving them the tools to publish on the Xbox One platform. While Microsoft has generated interest and support with ID@Xbox, parity clause excluded, there hasn’t been any games released through the program. According to Microsoft at GDC, that is soon to change.

ID@Xbox Games Director Chris Charla started off by saying, “Since we first announced the program in August, we’ve been working closely with developers to bring a diverse array of independent games to Xbox One. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible so developers can focus on what matters most: creating the games you’re beginning to see today!”

Phil Spencer also echoed that sentiment. “Our goal has always been to make Xbox One the best place to play games, and that means having a diverse portfolio for gamers to choose from. We’ve worked closely with independent developers to bring their own brand of creativity and innovation to the platform and today is just the beginning.”

According to the Xbox Wire post, these are the games expected to arrive, but no hard release date was given, with the expectation of some appearing on the Xbox Store “in the coming weeks”:
