Since the release of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, fans have been exploring and hunting down contracts for hundreds of hours. However gamers have been clamoring for a new game plus feature so they can continue to level up Geralt and play additional quests. Last week CD Projekt Red promised fans on their Twitter account a special surprise for the final DLC they plan to release until the expansions come out.
On the official Facebook page for the game, the company announced that a new game plus mode would be arriving soon, however the DLC will not be arriving this week as originally planned as they finish polishing it. Since the release of the title back in May, I’ve completed the game twice, but with the addition of new game plus I now have an excuse to go back and play some of the free DLC that I’ve been holding off.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is expecting two expansions to release, adding over 40 hours of gameplay and new locations that are boasted to be bigger than the world of Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The first expansion, Hearts of Stone, releases in October 2015, while Blood and Wine is planned for early 2016.
