Microsoft was absolutely boasting about their lineup of Xbox One games for E3 and they certainly did not disappoint. While the big announcements like backwards compatibility were a big deal, their games were what really impressed and it showed through the E3 awards received.
Aaron Greenberg, the head of marketing for Xbox, went to his Twitter last night to reveal just how well received their lineup was last month, along with the news we told you earlier of Xbox One winning in overall sales the week of E3.
He said that Xbox One was the “most awarded lineup in Xbox History” at E3 this year, specifically with 242 nominations. Amongst those nominations, they managed to take home 110 award wins, which is quite impressive considering the competition at E3.
Also of note, Greenberg mentioned that Halo 5: Guardians was the most awarded Halo game ever at E3. This is pretty promising, as the Halo series has been one of the more well received games at E3 in the past, so there must really be something special about this new entry in the series.
Xbox One definitely has a strong holiday lineup with games like the previously mentioned Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, just to name a few. With so many nominated and awarded at E3, it sounds like we are going to be in for some special games come later this year.
