Capcom sounds like it’s being more generous with the way its offering content in Street Fighter 5.
EventHubs interviewed Matt Dahlgren who is Capcom’s Director of Brand Marketing. He described in more detail on how the company will be offering additional content.
The good news for Street Fighter 5 owners is that you only need to purchase the original one disc to enjoy and own “all of the content in the game” explained Dahlgren.
Dahlgren said Capcom listened to fans on how things were managed with Street Fighter 4. You can also add Ultimate Marvel Capcom 3 to that list too.
If you remember, Street Fighter 4 came out in 2009, but then Super Street Fighter 4 came out in 2010. Gamers needed to purchase Super Street Fighter 4 to get the new stages and fighters as they weren’t offered as DLC in the original game.
Capcom used the same tactic with Marvel vs Capcom 3. They added new stages and fighters in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. You had to buy Ultimate vs Marvel 3 to get them as they weren’t offered again as DLC for the base original game.
Gamers will only need to buy Street Fighter 5 and the loads of DLC that will likely be released afterwards. You don’t have to buy another disc/game to get new content like before.
