Naughty Dog is extremely proud of their “unique AI” for their upcoming title  The Last of Us.  The developer explains that there’s a balance of power between the weapons of the game that “creates an atmosphere of extreme tension in combat, exploring the environment and scavenging, and the relationship between Joel and Ellie.”
In a world where resources have become extremely scarce, The Last of Us will have you using everything at your disposal. Â As you can see in the screenshots below, Joel and Ellie will use a combination of weapons that range from guns to bricks, and when it comes down to it, fists.
The two protagonists won’t always have weapons available to them, and will need to assess situations differently to escape different scenarios. Â A fifteen minute gameplay demo showed all of this gameplay off in spectacular fashion, screenshots of which you can find below.
