One of the eight assassin’s that Batman will deal with Batman: Arkham Origins was revealed today at San Diego Comic-Con. In a panel dedicated to the game, Copperhead was revealed to fans.
Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel set in the years before the events of the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. This is the story of a younger version of the caped crusader, having his first runins with some Gotham’s most notorious criminals. For the uninitiated, Copperhead is one of the oldest villains in the long running comic series, whose first appearance dates all the way back in 1968. Though it is worth noting that this version of Copperhead is of the female variety, like the villain found in The New 52. In older comic books and cartoons Copperhead had traditionally been a male character.
Batman: Arkham Origins is slated for an October 25th release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will be released alongside the console version for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
