Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, Revealed

Naughty Dog takes to survival in The Last of Us reveal.

The Last of Us was teased over the week leading up to Spike's Video Game Award Show, and with the show come and gone, the PlayStation 3 exclusive has been revealed. For fans of the Uncharted franchise, Naughty Dog has been revealed as the developers behind the self proclaimed "genre defining experience", according to Naughty Dog.

What genre is that exactly? Naughty Dog explains that "The Last of Us blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven tale about a modern plague decimating mankind. Nature encroaches upon civilization, forcing remaining survivors to kill for food, weapons and whatever they can find. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States."

  That’s why I said “in my opinion.” It looks good. It just isn’t original. It just looks like an apocalyptic zombie game with Uncharted gameplay. The art direction doesn’t look all that interesting or Unique. I just don’t see any reason to bye the game besides the fact that it is being developed by Naughty Dog.

  I knew i was getting skyrim, arkham city, uncharted 3 etc etc etc when they where announced let alone when the first trailer came out.

Wow; It’s funny how people get really butthurt over me stating my opinion of a trailer of a game we know almost nothing about.
I did not say it was going to be a bad game by any means. It just doesn’t look all that interesting.

While I dig Skyrim,
Some of the patches / the ps3 version are somewhat broken atm to be accurate.
And in general,
This looks awesome. Naughty Dog kills it. I’ve recently gotten a PS3 and have been going through the Uncharted series, 1 really set a great foundation for the series, I’m in the middle of 2 and it is just an incredible game and sequel so far.
Count me in 60 dollars later.

@dovahkiin !the game basically have TONS of bugs and TONS of game breaking bugs you fucking retard check Skyrim wikia BUGS! check the game breaking bug sections. Skyrim FAIL IS A MASSIVE FAIL don’t be in denial I own the PS3 version and the game froze for the 11th time now I can’t even drop my quest item and I already finished that quest FUCK! flying mammoth get real! the game froze when I waited the game froze when I was wandering the wilds the game froze at Solitude and Dawnstar. Pixelated graphics everywhere the game basically looks like a Ps2 game and my save file is at 21mb now it takes forever to save the game now and Bethesda released a patch that makes the game even buggier my god Bethesda.
I used to enjoy Skyrim but then I traded it for something better DARK SOULS!
I’d rather take an arrow to the knee than play that buggy shit!

Every Uncharted’s game footage really looks like the actual gameplay so since naughty dog is making the last of us gameplay will look like or similar to footage

Hey Skyrim is freaking awesome and I don’t consider it “broken” at all. I actually don’t have any problems with Skyrim at all except 2 things that I can look over even if they never get fixed.
There is some freezing and after a long period of straight play it will lag if you don’t quit and restart.
But it’s a fine game and not “broken” in my terms. Broken would be unplayable, or being stuck somewhere because of a glitch or something like that.

when they opened the door to escape i was actually gobsmacked, that baron, dirty jungle city scene looks amazing. if the game looks anything like that then im sold

patch 1.2 broke my magic resist its sad when i have maxed resist using benton race and a dragon 1 shots me +1000 other bugs bbc just released a article doggying skyrim for being “broken” or something like that i didnt read it ill admit
to me the video looks like a mix of cutscreen and live action
