Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution showcasing the many new features that have been added to this big update to the original arcade release.

The trailer looks at the many new default costumes that have been included to the game. Fans will be happy to know that they don’t have to see the old costumes all the time, although they are still available if you want to choose them.

It then explains the many moves that Akuma has in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. Street Fighter fans will like the fact that the character has not been “dumbed down” in any way. He’s the only character in Tekken 7 that has a super meter. Yes, you can execute his famous finishing move.

Watching the trailer, it does look like Akuma might be a bit too overpowered. He can still use Hadoukens and none of his moves have been removed from the looks of things. It will be interesting to see if future updates tone him down.

Speaking of updates, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution softens the amount of damage caused by Rage Arts. This is the special move that every character has if they are low in health. Several other gameplay changes have been made also. You can watch the trailer below to see all of the new features added.
