Xenoblade Chronicles was recently announced for release in North America after a long process of gamer outreach to Nintendo urging them to bring the RPG to the region. The Nintendo Wii exclusive is scheduled for an April 2012 release, and Nintendo of America has released the North American version of the trailer for the game.
Xenoblade Chronicles released in Japan all the way back in June of 2010, followed by releases in Europe and Australia in 2011, but Nintendo held their ground on a North American release for reasons unknown. The RPG released to critical acclaim with scores in the upper bands of the ranking systems for Metacritic, GameRankings, and GameStats. Famitsu rated the game a 36/40 so it’ll probably be a nice addition for the Wii which has seen a drought of games in recent months (barring Zelda Skyward Sword).
