Rockstar explains more of the story behind Max Payne 3

Rockstar’s gone live with a new trailer for Max Payne 3 that explains some of the backstory behind Max Payne 3.  The upcoming third person shooter from Rockstar sees hero Max Payne beginning a new life working as a private security contractor in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  There while protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family, Max runs into trouble with the many factions that run the city.

The video showcases the single player portion of the  game, but Rockstar has assured that Max Payne 3 will also feature a beefy multiplayer mode, the first of its kind for a Max Payne title.

Max Payne 3 is set to release on May 15th, 2012 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
