Following its reveal earlier this week, the cat is out of the bag for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, confirming long running rumors that Sony would be making their own version of “Smash Bros”. Â The PlayStation themed brawler will feature characters from the roster of characters in the PlayStation family, as well as third party guests.
Right now Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, Parappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper, and Colonel Radec have been confirmed for the roster, with more to come in the months leading up to launch. Â Recognizable environments from games like LittleBigPlanet, God of War, and Ratchet and Clank can be seen in the first gameplay videos of PlayStation All-Stars.
The first developer diary for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale gives a first glimpse at new gameplay footage of the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive, which is due out later this year.
