Star Wars: The Old Republic is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG) for the PC gaming platform, set in the Star Wars universe. The first game of its kind, in it players choose from either the Galactic Republic or Sith faction, create a character, and along with a multitude of fans playing from all over the world, explore the fictional historic period of the Old Republic, as the Jedi confront the resurgent Sith Empire. Players can assume one of many races through their character, visit multiple planets, pilot spacecraft, utilize advanced dialog options in-game, take advantage of AI companions for gathering and crafting tasks and more.

After playing the beta weekend i am very impressed i was not holding any sort of expectations for the game at all and this game shocked me. While it is not a revolution to the mmo market it is a very solid evolution all the machanics work very well to the same if not a higher standard that the popular WoW. The thing what gets you the most is the story tellling gone is the box of text for every quest 99% of them are voice acted ! This brings such a view i have never seen in a mmo. There are so many reasons to try this game aswell , new mmo , star wars , the story , bioware atleast try it you will not be disserpointed

Agreed Ian. I played WoW for years and a life long Star Wars fan so this is a perfect fusion for me. I also did not have any expectations, the preview vids did not impress me and I was expecting the worst.
The quest chains are unreal and as a result I preordered straight away and can see me rolling every class/race combo over time so I can experience the game as a whole.
