Miyamoto striving for his best work with Wii U and 3DS titles

Shigeru Miyamoto talks retirement rumors, new games, and how he handles the pressure of fan expectations in recent interview.

Miyamoto striving for his best work with Wii U and 3DS titlesNintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto is always front and center when speaking about first party titles.  The developer who is currently at work on Pikmin 3 and Luigi's Mansion 2, also revealed that he's currently working on an unnamed title that the developer has been vaguely hinting at for weeks.  The recently released Skyward Sword saw critical praise upon its release last month, and Miyamoto believes that fans have come to expect alot from the developer.

"This certainly makes me feel some pressure," the developer said.  Is it too much pressure to try to come out with something new?  I have to say no.  I'm enjoying myself.  But when I make something, I always try to do my best."

Let me guess it will all be Japan only stuff. Seems like Nintendo cares less and less about releasing stuff in the west or when they do it’s severely delayed from the Japanese release. Looks like we can forget about Monster Hunter 3G and probably wont get Monster Hunter 4 for the 3DS either. If I sound bitter it’s because I am. I’m tired of the west being forgotten about and skipped over with good games. Or held off on them till much later than Japan.

Your forgetting the face that Japan is more loyal to Nintendo than America. One sid, where 3DS is outselling Vita in Japan, the other hand Americans are either on Vita’s side or busy saying 3DS is gonna die.
It really isnt Nintendo’s fault. They are trying to do everything they possibly can.
