Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid is about to release on September 13th and it’s got many players hurrying to level up their characters as far as they can to complete the game’s toughest challenge. Nobody knows exactly what Bungie has up their sleeve for this first Raid for Destiny 2, but we now know what level your character will need to be to complete the Raid.
Leviathan Raid Recommended Power Level
The Leviathan Raid will have a Power Range of 260-280, according to Bungie.
As it stands in Destiny 2’s end game, getting to 260 shouldn’t be much of a problem if players have done the exotic quests, milestones, and Nightfall Strike. Breaking into the 270 – 280 range has proven to be a little bit more challenging as it has required that players do a little bit of grinding.
While many have taken to repeating things like Heroic Public Events, completing weekly Milestones seems to be rewarding players with powerful engrams.
Right now, a lot of Destiny players have been left out in the cold because of a lack of a matchmaking system for the Nightfall Strike, but a beta for Guided Games is beginning on September 12th.
The Nightfall Strike has already proven to be a little more difficult than the ones that were seen in the original Destiny. Players will need to both be able to meet the requirement for power level, but also have an understanding of the way that different energy weapons work. We’ll find out on September 13th when the Leviathan Raid launches just how hard it’s going to be for a power level 260 Guardian to get through the Raid in its entirety.
Bosses very well may scale in this Raid as they have in the past, with the initial ones being a little easier while the end bosses being harder and on the high end of that power level spectrum. Here’s hoping that mid-Raid drops will help improve players as they make progress through the Leviathan Raid.
To start it though, it looks like you’re gonna need to be at least a power level 260.
